This program consists of initiations to the job market, opening the door to women between 16 and 30 so that they may explore different trades by doing stages at different enterprises.
Goal:
Offer a training preparatory to the job market as well as a canadian experience to young women who come to live in Québec.
Contents:
Information sessions on different aspects of the Québec society and the job market given by Petites-Mains and its partners:
- Cultural visits and to enterprises.
- Training and acquaintanceship of 13 different trades.
- Three stages in enterprises.
- Placement service following the program.
Supervision:
Two social workers do the follow-up during and after the program.
Admissibility:
- Young women between 16 and 30 newly arrived in Québec
- Permanent residency Status or citizen
- Participants must go on the job market right after their training or return to school
